Elephant Mating

Usually, a female elephants only get the pregnant ability for a few days each year. It makes any elephants preserve their energy before the mating season. The female comes into estrus period, marking the beginning of ovulation. If the mating season comes, male elephants are always never far from female adult elephants. This natural behavior comes from the estrus of female scents; these particular scents attract every adult male elephants in nearby area. This scent only appears once in a year, this scents mark the beginning of elephant mating.

There are no male adult elephant that is not attracted to this scent. Sexual behavior of male elephants is only aroused once a year, this is the rare chance for male adult elephant to get laid. Some research even proves that every male adult elephants doing auto erection or masturbation to contain its sexual desire. Once the scent of estrus is spread, some male adult elephant may even fight each other to win their mate.

Some adult female elephants are even creating an invitation to the male adult elephant by producing a low and rumbling sound. This may be ridiculous, but empiric research proves that female adult elephant has a very high-esteem when choosing its mating partner. She doesn't want a weak and half-adult elephant to become her partner. That is why when the elephant mating season, every female adult elephant is running around across the field chased by many other male adult elephant. This show proves that every female elephant is likely to have a strong off-spring. It is a very strong proof of evolution theory. The strong get a more right than a weak one.

Once the female is getting caught by a male adult elephant, he rest his trunks is her back and caress is gently. They start mating for several times until the estrus period is over. There may be a threat from other jealous adult male elephants. Sometime, between the mating processes, there will be a fight between a male adult elephant that get partner with a male adult elephant who doesn't get partner. If the other party is winning, an elephant is deferred and find other female partner.

After the elephant mating is over, male role part is over. The male purpose in elephant group is solely for reproductive season. The male doesn't have any role to protect the child and the mother from harm. The male also doesn't have any responsibility to raise and teaching the baby elephant. That entire role before is in care of the female who gets pregnant.
